Day 1: Soweto - Johannesburg

Reception and assistance at Johannesburg International airport by our representative.



Cycling tour to discover the famous township of Soweto with a local guide.


You go through Vilakazi Street where the houses of the two peace nobel prices Nelson Mandela and Desmond Tutu are, pass the Hector Pieterson Museum and immerse yourself in the atmosphere of the township sharing a beer "made in Soweto" in a real Shebeen. An experience not to be missed to understand South Africa. Tour duration: 2 hours. Includes a typical lunch in Soweto.

Day 2: Johannesburg - Soutpansberg

Drive to the north of South Africa in the Limpopo province at the border with Zimbabwe.
Estimated travel time: 5h30.

You travel to a private game reserve nestled in the mountains of Soutpansberg which is a land full of beauty, history and legends.



Full board stay in a traditional hut at the Leshiba Venda Village.

Offering a mix of nature, culture, fine dining and comfort, the lodge is an authentic Venda village rehabilitated by Noria Mabasa, a world-renowned local artist. She wanted to honor the unique natural environment of the Soutpansberg mountain range and the culture and heritage of the Venda people.

Day 3: Soutpansberg

Day 4: Soutpansberg - Mapungubwe National Park

Road to the far north of South Africa. Estimated travel time: 3h30.

Your destination is the Mapungubwe national park at the confluence of the Limpopo and Shashe rivers where three countries meet: South Africa, Botswana and Zimbabwe. The Mapungubwe national park has a savannah landscape covered with thorny, large baobab trees and sandstone terraces rising above the plain. The place turned out to be the largest kingdom in the sub-continent until its abandonment in the fourteenth century. Remains of the palace and surrounding houses remained intact until today. The landscape is listed as UNESCO World Heritage since 2003 and became a national park in 2004.

Day 5: Mapungubwe National Park

Enjoy a day trip driving your vehicle to discover the wild Mapungubwe national park.
You may enjoy a quiet moment at the bird observatory on the banks of the Limpopo River. You can also book with the park on a guided tour of Mapungubwe Hills and Heritage Site.
Enjoy the different views on the vast expanses of the 3 countries: where South Africa, Zimbabwe and Botswana meet.

Day 6: Mapungubwe National Park - Punda Maria

Early departure to the north of the Kruger Park, through the natural reserve of Musina known for its high concentration of baobabs. Then you cross the countries of the Venda people whose capital is Thohoyandou, before reaching your destination. Estimated travel time: 5 hours.

The Kruger national park, with an area of ​​nearly 2 million hectares, is the country's largest national park. Its great geological and climatic diversity gives its exceptional flora divided into 16 distinct vegetation areas. The park is not only home to the Big Five (buffalo, elephant, lion, leopard and rhino) but also giraffes, hippos, hyenas, wild dogs, many species of antelope. A safari in the Kruger national park offers a unique opportunity to approach and photograph these iconic and rare animals. Optional: game drive in open vehicles in the morning, afternoon, evening and walking safaris in the morning.

Day 7: Kruger National Park - Mopani

Full day of safari in the northern part of the Kruger national park.

The northern part of the Kruger National Park is an area with a unique biodiversity. This part of the park is less crowded compared to the southern part where the animal concentration is higher. However, this part of the park is a delight for its concentration of birds and diverse flora.
It is also one of the few places where fever trees grow in the company of giant baobabs. Trees line the banks of the Limpopo River and Luvuvhu river, thin pale green trunks and slightly golden trees glistening fever between the dark trunks and massive baobabs.

Day 8: Kruger National Park - Timbavati Private Nature Reserve

You leave the Kruger National Park for the Timbavati Game Reserve.

The Timbavati private nature reserve shares a common unfenced border with the Kruger National Park allowing animals to roam freely between the park and the reserve, and ensuring guests the opportunity to view the greatest diversity of wildlife that Africa has to offer. Situated next to the Kruger National Park, the reserve is also home to a dozen of South Africa’s best luxury game lodges. The reserve is famous for the sporadic sighting of rare white lions.

Day 10: Timbavati Private Nature Reserve - Blyde River Canyon - White River

Half day at leisure to discover the Mpumalanga region.

Our visit suggestions on the way from the Timbavati are:

Visit of Hoedspruit Endangered Species Center. The centre focuses on the conservation of rare, vulnerable or endangered animals. Cheetah Conservation is one of their core disciplines

Visit of Moholoholo Center.The centre provides a home for abandoned, injured and poisoned wildlife and is a respected contributor to wildlife conservation. Animals that you may see are lion, leopard, serval, cheetah, hyena, honey badger, eagles, vultures and various baby animals.

Enjoy the scenic route of the Blye River Canyon on the R532. The popular sightings are: God's Window, the Three Rondavels and Bourke Luck's Potholes.

The Mopani Rest Camp features stone cottages, covered with a thatched roof. The cottages are built on a rocky outcrop and offer beautiful bush views. You are in one of the prime areas to spot elephants and rhinos.

Shindzela Tented Safari Camp, is situated within the Timbavati Private Nature Reserve, part of the Greater Kruger National Park. Shindzela Tented Camp is a simple but comfortable South African bush camp, offering an authentic African safari experience in an unfenced, natural wilderness environment. The camp offer comfortable safari accommodation in a canvas tent: Each tent has a wooden entrance door, adjustable canvas flaps for windows, and mesh to keep insects out. All tents have a thatch (grass) roof and porch, designed to cool the tents in summer and keep warm in winter. Tents are equipped with 2 x 3/4 beds, solar lighting, all bedding, and towels, private en-suite bathroom with shower, hand basin and flush toilet. In summer, mosquito nets are fitted above the beds.
