Table Mountain overlooking the cosmopolitan city of Cape Town offers a unique view of this gem at the tip of Africa. In the distance, Robben Island, prison island about 10 kilometers from the coast which were held many political prisoners at the time of apartheid, including Nelson Mandela. The colorful houses of the colorful Bo-Kaap, the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront, the beaches of Clifton and Camps Bay, Kirstenbosch Gardens or the Hout Bay harbor are essential steps during your stay in this city. Further to the south, the Cape Peninsula, a penguin colony took up residence at Boulders Beach. At the tip of the peninsula are the famous Cape of Good Hope and Cape Point with its craggy old lighthouse. In the hinterland, the wine road leads to the villages of Stellenbosch, Paarl and Franschhoek housing the vineyards where you can taste nice South African wines. On the road between Cape Peninsula and the Garden Route, the seaside region of Overberg as Hermanus is known for whale watching and cage diving with sharks. The Cape Agulhas region, the southern tip of Africa, represent the geographical separation between the Atlantic and Indian Oceans.
